Lina Mapes

Lina Mapes is an up and coming singer, songwriter pianist. She spends all of her free time writing sounds, recording them in her home “closet recording studio”, and creating new chords on the piano. 
 “My family says I was singing before I could talk”, says Lina while laughing and she admits it’s true. Her true passion is that of Songwriting. “Writing is my way of expressing things that are happening to myself and others In Everyday life, it helps me cope with the world.” Lina’s upcoming single is based on a growing issue for this generation, that of Suicide. 
 “Off guard is about what it felt like to be caught off guard when someone I really loved and counted on committed suicide” Lina says. “Honestly, I hardly remember writing the lyrics, I just knew I needed to get them out and express myself. I feel this song relates with anyone who has lost someone suddenly. This is especially true In light of the climate of the world right now, there are many of us being caught off guard!” 
 Lina’s hope is that her music spreads love and happiness throughout the entire world and that everyone always knows that they are loved and someone is understanding of them. 
 “Like my username says I’m just Lina. I have good days and bad days but through all those days I want people to know that they are loved.”
